Blended Learning

What is Blended Learning

Blended learning is understood as an approach to learning that combines learning in school with distance learning, including online learning.

At Altmore Infant School we offer a blended learning approach to all of our children using our online learning platform Seesaw where children access their homework and different learning activities to engage and support their learning in school.

As well as using Seesaw we also have a range of online subscription accounts that we encourage our children to use at home and in school.

These online subscriptions include:

Bug Club

Bug Club is a whole-school reading programme that brilliantly combines an online reading world with comprehension practise as well.

Times Tables Rock Stars

Times Tables Rock Stars is a carefully sequenced programme of daily times tables practice.
Each week concentrates on a different times table, with a recommended consolidation week for rehearsing the tables that have recently been practised.

NumBots

NumBots is all about every child achieving the “triple win” of understanding, recall and fluency in mental addition and subtraction, so that they move from counting to calculating.
