In Year 2 we have been making model trailers in our DT lessons, linked to our English text ‘The Pirates Next Door.’ We began by looking at existing toy cars and other vehicles, discussing how they work and how they use different types of axles and wheels to help them move. Then we wrote our own design criteria and designed our own vehicles before we made them. We used different joining, cutting and marking skills throughout the process.
Finally we evaluated our finished vehicles.
