Thank you to everyone for your support on World Book Day on 3rd March. As a school we all focussed on the story ‘Bee and Me.’ The beautiful wordless picture book is written by Alison Jay and it shows what happens when a bee flies in through the window of a grey city apartment. The growing friendship between a bee and a little girl brings a transformation to the city. The nature tips at the back of the book also underline the importance of the bumble bee in our natural world and show young readers how they can help to safeguard the future of bees.
430 children came to school dressed up as a ‘Busy Bee’ to celebrate World Book Day. WOW! Well done everyone.
All classes spent the day using and exploring the wordless picture book and created some amazing pieces of Bee artwork.
