Year 1 children went on an educational visit to the Gurdwara. They engaged in an interactive session to learn about the Sikh religion and its core beliefs. The focus was on understanding the significance of the “5 Ks” – Kesh (uncut hair), Kara (steel bracelet), Kanga (wooden comb), Kachera (cotton undergarments), and Kirpan (ceremonial sword).
The children gained understanding into Sikh practices and traditions, developing respect and understanding for diverse cultures and faiths. This educational visit gave children an opportunity to enrich their cultural awareness and also promoted tolerance and acceptance.
