On Wednesday 26 June 2024, Year 2 children visited Chalkwell Beach linked to their Seasides and Rockpools topic. We travelled on the C2C train from Barking to Chalkwell and the children enjoyed looking out of the window and spotting different animals in the fields such as cows, sheep and horses.
Once we arrived at the beach, the children were so excited and we were very lucky to have the sun shining on the day.
The children enjoyed playing in the sand, building sandcastles and splashing in the water. They were even fortunate enough to find some sea creatures such as small fish and plenty of crabs. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and an ice lolly each.
