This term children in Year have been taking part in a DT Textile project. They have been thinking about types of fabrics and other materials designers use to make bags.
Children improved their skills by practising cutting in a straight, curved and zigzag line.
Then they explored different joining techniques including sewing. Linking this to our core text ‘Katie in London’ children designed a bag for Katie for her day out in London.
