We express our deepest sympathies following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We celebrate her dedication and sense of duty to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth throughout her life. We offer our sincere condolences to the Royal family at this time.
On Friday 9th September, children participated in assemblies in their classrooms and discussed key facts about Her Majesty, but most importantly, shared their thoughts and feelings about her death. At midday, the school observed a one-minute silence in the playground in memory of Queen Elizabeth II listening respectfully to the sounds of the bells tolling from East Ham Town Hall.
Children have wanted to talk about her life and death and their recent memories of the 70-year reign of the longest serving monarch in British History.
Altmore Infant School will continue to support our children, families and staff during this national period of mourning.
