This week for RE all Reception classes have been learning and talking about Eid (Eid Ul-Fitr). We have been discussing why Muslims celebrate Eid, what they do on Eid day and why it is a special day for Muslims. We had the opportunity to watch videos of what Eid day looks like for Muslims and we also heard our friends share their experiences and happy memories when celebrating Eid.
We celebrated in class by having a Eid party where all the children dressed up in their traditional clothes. Children had Eid theme activities to enjoy such as colouring Eid lanterns, making Eid cards and henna patterns.
To celebrate Eid Mubarak we will be having a Eid (Eid Ul-Fitr) celebratory lunch in school on Wednesday 26 April 2023.
