Take One Picture

Children at Altmore have taken part in a whole school art project called ‘Take One Picture’ by The National Gallery. Children in EYFS and KS1 were inspired by a piece of artwork called ‘Surprised’ by Henri Rousseau and together, created their own 3D version of the art piece. Children in EYFS used their mark making skills to paint the base in a range of greens and browns.

Children in Year 1 used their creative craft skills to make the leaves, bushes and trees. Children in Year 2 used papier mache to create the tiger and then carefully painted the details.

We are very proud of the children’s fantastic hard work and look forward to hearing from The National Gallery about out submission.
