Updates before Easter break

What a difference the lovely weather made last week – we were all able to be outside enjoying our learning in the sunshine. It was such a pleasure to hear and see everyone supporting each other.

Thank you for coming to meet your children’s teachers, everyone that I met was leaving with big smiles, and so you should! Children have been working very hard, and the parents evening discussions gave us all a chance to celebrate children’s progress and to share ideas of how you can support them to achieve even more. Well done for all of your support, it makes a big difference.

Thank you also for those of you who came and had a tasty snack, taste-testing our lunch menu – Juniper or catering supplier was very thankful for all of your positive feedback.

Congratulations to the Hot Potato team who came back with medals – Well done them. (Thank you to parents for being so patient for their later than expected return to school.) We look forward to this week’s inter-school Handball tournament.

A reminder that on Monday (at 16:00) and on Tuesday (at 09:00) Kelly is holding meetings for parents of Year 2 children to explain what Year 2 SATs are going to look like this year. We are very lucky, as Kelly is one other LA’s Lead KS1 moderators.

We also look forward to activities celebrating Easter, especially the Easter Bonnet parade on Friday.

I am also particularly looking forward to our Rock band concerts on Friday – thank you to Joe and Shiva for organising this for us.
